Everyone thought it was obsolete, but now it turns out that all those obsessive types who (to the scorn of their loved ones) kept tonnes of VHS tapes with performances taped off the TV are now having their moment in the sun! They upload slices of history onto youtube that are no longer even in the archives of the singers or TV stations. Now they are heroes to music archaeology fans. Thank you! ...and then there are those who don?t just want to listen to these gems, they also use bits of them to create new compositions that merge the past and the present, like a time machine. They bring together artists who had never met, connect revolutions from different parts of the planet, and all with side-splitting humour. They will never get the rights to make a living doing this, it?s purely for the pleasure. Thank you too!
