Performance ambulante, site-specific e interactiva en la que los paseantes podrán experimentar el paisaje desde diferentes perspectivas. Con la participación de músicos, performers y vecinos de Zutendaal, esta performance conectará el centro de la ciudad con la zona rural en la periferia a través de Lieteberg.
Esta vez Orquestina de Pigmeos serán Chus Dominguez, Nilo Gallego y 30 colaboradores locales.
In samenwerking met verschillende muzikanten, performers en lokale enthousiastelingen ontwikkelen Nilo en Chus een groepsperformance die de vorm aanneemt van een parcours. Balancerend tussen contemplatieve situaties en momenten van actieve participatie, ontdekt de bezoeker de omgeving van De Lieteberg in Zutendaal.
Vanuit zijn interesse voor muziek realiseert Nilo Gallego allerhande performances en geluidsacties. Voor Sideways werkt hij samen met audiovisueel artiest Chus Dominguez, die is geboeid door het genre van de documentaire, maar ook door experiment en poëzie. Samen vormen Chus en Nilo het experimenteel collectief Orquestina de pigmeos (het pigmeeënorkestje).
Orquestina de Pigmeos develops an ambulatory, site-specific and interactive performance, that will take place along a route where the walker will be invited to experience the landscape from different perspectives, from the simple contemplation to a total active participation, counting with the collaboration of different musicians, performers and local people. This performance will link the urban center of Zutendaal to the agriculture area in the outskirts, through Lieteberg.
