SINOPSI:
WE CAN DANCE es un acto de celebración, es un solo o un solo acompañado o más bien una invitación al baile o tal vez, solo, quizás, alomejor, también, perhaps una discoteca.
WE CAN DANCE parte de ese primer paso que se da antes de vernos bailando, en una discoteca, el templo del baile. Una vez que empieza es difícil pararlo, te metes en el meneo, en ese vaivén, en ese tic discotequero. Se articula sobre ese momento, ¿en qué momento comienza el baile? ¿cuándo puedes decir que estás bailando? ¿Qué pasa cuando se da en lugares donde está prohibido? ¿Qué relaciones tiene con las normativas y convenciones de uso del espacio? Este ‘solo’ habla de leyes que regulan el acto de bailar en diferentes lugares. Esta es una pieza sobre el acto de bailar, sobre lo que nos mueve.

WE CAN DANCE starts from that first step that is taken before dancing, in a disco, the dance temple. Once it’s started it’s difficult to stop it, you get into that wiggle, into that swinging, into that disco tic. It’s built around that first gesture; at what moment does dance start? when can you say you are dancing? what happens when it’s done at places where it’s forbidden? what relations does it have with the rules and conventions of the use of space? This ‘solo’ talks about laws that regulate the act of dancing in different places. This is a piece about the act of dancing, about what moves us.
